    • Ages are taken as at 1 January.

    • Dancers may dance in an older division but not in a younger division.

    • Although younger dancers are allowed to dance in an older division, the majority of dancers in a crew must fall within the age criteria.

    • Dancers must be prepared to present proof of age should a question arise.

    • Failure to meet age requirements will result in the disqualification of a crew.

    • Crews who are disqualified based on age will not be refunded.

    • Dancers should wear appropriate clothing that meets our family-friendly standards.

    • Footwear must be clean and not damage the stage floor.

    • Dancing bare feet is not allowed.

    • Crews must arrive on time for crew check-in

    • All dancers must be present to receive their wristband

    • Depending on the number of entries, we may not have time to offer stage runs. More information will be communicated closer to the competition.

    • Entry into the competitor holding area is restricted to dancers and team managers only

    • Spectator and/or non-dancers will not be allowed in the competitor holding area.

    • Please keep this space tidy and free from rubbish

    • Each team manager will receive a complimentary wristband 

    • Team manager wristbands grant you access to the competitor holding area, backstage and everywhere your dancers can be.

    • The event schedule will be released prior to competition day and is subject to change based on crew entries.

    1:30 MAX......................Duo

    1:25-2:00.....................Kids, Junior, Mini

    1:45-2:00.....................Teen, Adult, Intermediate School, High School

    2:30-3:30....................Junior Mega, Teen Mega, Intermediate School Mega

    3:00-4:00....................Open Mega

    MUSIC SUBMISSION DEADLINE: SATURDAY, 25 APRIL
     

    • Preferred music format: mp3

    • Music and track selection should be age appropriate.

    • Music tracks must be clean and free from explicit or offensive content.

    • The judges may deduct points for poor music selection (i.e. if found to be inappropriate).

    • Crew managers must carry a back-up USB to the competition.

    • Entry fees must be paid on time to secure your place in the competition.

    • There are no multi-entry discounts.

    • No refunds on entry fees.

    Refund Policy

    • No refunds will be given for crews who are disqualified.

    • No refunds will be given for crews who decide not to compete - even in extenuating circumstances.

    • A first aid kit and ice packs will be available backstage and at the info desk. Crew managers please carry your own first aid supplies.

    • Dancers take full responsibility for their health and safety and personal belongings.

    • In the event of an emergency, follow event staff and warden instructions promptly.

    • Jamboree Hip Hop Dance Championship is a family-friendly event.

    • Appropriate clothing must be worn during performances.

    • Music must be appropriate and should be free from swearing or indecent lyrics.

    • Dancers are expected to conduct themselves in a safe manner at all times, and must not attempt moves or stunts that pose a risk to themselves, or the audience.

    • No bullying or intimidating behaviour will be tolerated towards event staff, participants or spectators.

    • No flash photography during performances

    • Spectators are welcome to film using their phones

    • No professional filming is allowed - no exceptions

    • Professional photography and video footage will be available for purchase

    • Jamboree reserves the right to photograph and film any Jamboree event

    • All attendees authorise the use of their images in photos and videos for all advertising and promotional purposes.

    • Results will be announced at the end of each championship round.

    • The judges' decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

    • Awards will be presented on stage - all participants will be asked to be on stage during results.

    • The top three placing crews in each division will received a trophy.

    • Each participating team will receive a certificate.

    • Minimum stage dimensions: 8m x 8m

    • Actual stage dimensions will be communicated prior to competition

    • A crew manager (18+) must be with their crew at all times.

    • Crew managers must assist their crew with keeping the venue tidy and free from hazards and rubbish. 

    • Jamboree and its supporting venues are smoke-free, alcohol-free, and drug-free
